Liaocheng Auden Agricultural Development Co. Ltd. is the first modern research and production base station of Agaricus bisporus in China. It has been planned using the latest technology from Holland, which is the world leader in mushroom production and mushroom technology. The total capital invest is around RMB 90 million. The phase I project which cost RMB 40 million complete and is now in production. Experts from U.K. Ireland and Holland are working in Auden to train the personnel to operate this modern facility. The latest automated equipment is used in each step of both the composting and growing process. No pesticides are allowed in the whole process to ensure a high quality product without contamination. Now Auden has the capacity to provide 1000 tons of best quality Agaricus bisporus, and 100,000 tons of spawned phase 2 compost for mushroom growing per year.
    Auden has the following advantage in Agaricus bisporus production: I. Phase II fermentation is carried out in a modern computerized tunnel, and the high quality compost is suitable for all kinds of mushroom production. II. Production will not be interrupted by the season or weather, and so both mushroom and compost can be provided throughout the year. III. The highest quality control standards are used at all stages of the production process.
